COVID-19 Procedure
Please see below our reopening procedures in accordance with the latest government guidelines (released 20/08/20) for an out of school settings. This is a condensed version with only details that apply to parents/guardians/students, please request our COVID-19 risk assessment and site management plans from the principal for full details.
The only way we can re-open as a school and use our hired venues are by following the rules below, we will need everyone’s cooperation with this. All of this is subject to guidelines, which are being monitored on a daily basis.
-
Children are placed in ‘fixed groups’ of 15 maximum to reduce their interaction with others in out of school settings.
-
Classes must leave and arrive at the premises at the same time to reduce cross overs/ interaction (classes will be bubbled with a gap between time slots)
-
All students and teachers must use the hand gel provided on entering the room (or bring your own if you’d prefer) and will be washing hands at regular intervals.
-
Social distance must be maintained within the class setting. We will be dividing the floor into 2m squares using floor spots or tape depending on the venue.
-
All contact surfaces including the floor must be cleaned by teachers between each ‘fixed group’. There is a 10-15 minute gap allocated for this between sessions.
-
A health declaration will be sent with invoices at the start of the month. This must be completed and returned before the classes start.
-
In the case of illness you are asked to stay at home and notify the principal.
-
Only students and teachers are permitted on site. We will be operating a one-way system in and out of the building. On drop off and collection can parents please maintain social distance. None of our venues are currently allowing use of their waiting areas and kitchens, and building occupancy limits cannot be exceeded. Please regularly wash uniform, and arrive ready dressed for class.
-
Face coverings will be worn by staff for arrival/ drop off. Face coverings are not to be worn while exercising, instead we are maintaining social distance and keeping the room well ventilated. Students can wear face coverings to enter and exit the building at your own discretion but this is not compulsory.
-
Staff will wear PPE to administer First Aid, and this interaction will be added to our Track and Trace log.
